A Space Where What You Carry Can Be Set Down.

Trauma-informed counselling grounded in safety, autonomy, and respect.

MEET ANNA

Anna Ovanessian is a pre-licensed counsellor completing her Master of Counselling at City University of Seattle in Vancouver. She offers trauma-informed, culturally responsive counselling for people navigating anxiety, grief, addiction, shame, self-blame, relationship challenges, and the lasting effects of trauma.

Her practicum at a women’s centre, supporting survivors of violence and relational trauma, has deepened her understanding of how meaningful it is to be met with consistency, care, and respect, without being rushed, judged, or fixed.

Anna understands what it can feel like to navigate systems that do not always reflect or understand your background. This experience informs the humility, curiosity, and cultural responsiveness she brings to her work.

HOW WE WORK TOGETHER

Mind and body are connected. Therapy can support both.

Anna draws from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and somatic approaches to help clients better understand their thoughts, emotions, and nervous system responses.

CBT can help identify patterns that contribute to anxiety, self-criticism, shame, or feeling stuck, while building practical tools for change.

Somatic approaches bring attention to the body’s experience of stress, trauma, and emotion, helping create greater awareness, regulation, and a sense of safety.
